The pros and cons of those “easy to use” food delivery apps.
Convenience and exposure.
Advertising your new business is challenging, to say the least. Once you’re on an app, you will be seen by a bigger market in your area than you could have ever hoped to create. Depending on where you are, you could be added to a list of 10 restaurants or 1000, so it’s up to you to stand out.
You can add pictures, create special offers and have a description for everything you sell.
The better your performance, the more the app will represent you to customers, encouraging better service, delivery and quality of food.
They take a huge cut of your profits.
As the customer, you may be attempting to support small and local, but if you order through a separate app, you may not be as supportive as you expect.
Most apps takes a cut of about 20% (depending on the app.) Creating profit through food nowadays is incredibly difficult, so when you are selling through a separate company your prices must be increased.
